2think:
Supply chain expertise with a lean twist.

Vision
SQA, the Simple, Quick and Affordable™ office furniture division of Herman Miller, Inc., provided the ultimate test lab. With an unmatched clarity of purpose and the financial backing of the worlds #2 office furniture manufacturer, SQA shot to the top of the industry, establishing the reference point for performance and service.

SQA routinely manufactured and shipped entire customer orders in 4 to 5 days in an industry that was typified by 4 to 5 weeks lead-time. On-time and complete shipments averaged 99.78% for the year.   Wirthlin Worldwide, an independent survey group, consistently ranked SQA #1 in customer satisfaction, awarding it top honors four consecutive years.

So how did SQA achieve such phenomenal operational performance?   In a word -- m-fusion™.

Focus
Realizing the power of what they had created at SQA, principals Doug Bonzelaar and Jim Von Ins joined forces to create 2think, LLC, a manufacturing consulting firm focused on sharing it's SQA experiences with other manufacturers.

Shortly after it's formation, 2think coined the name m-fusion™ to both summarize and describe it's unique operational approach. By combining Lean principles with state-of-the-art supply chain management technology, 2think has developed a solution that provides exceptional top and bottom-line results, results that cannot be achieved through a conventional supply chain management or Lean only approach.

"Firms like Cisco Systems... furniture-maker Miller SQA... and others are in the vanguard of creating value nets.  These companies allow customers to configure their own orders, then build and deliver them to the customers' doorsteps in a matter of days.  No hassles.  No mistakes.  No excuses.  And they are beating competitors who cannot do the same."
